ed emberley drawing books

Drawing is such a great way to practice pencil control skills.  Ed Emberley has some wonderful step-by-step drawing books.  This Thumbprint book is my favourite!

TALLY COUNTER

This is currently a "must have" in our school therapy bags.  Helps develop thumb and index finger stability, along with strengthening the area between the thumb and index.  Such a motivating tool.  Encourage them to click with their arm held high in the air...and we work on shoulder stability as well. All essential pieces for handwriting.

Crayola Modeling Clay

Provides a stiffer consistency to play-doh. It doesn’t dry out, and can be re-formed many times. Perfect for strengthening hands in preparation for handwriting, scissors skills and other fine motor tasks. Locally, it can be found a The Stationary Store, AF Smith, Gorhams, plus more!
